Birdie's
Blessing Box

Birdie's Box is stocked with items that we all take for granted. If you are in need of non-perishable foods, a jacket for winter or essential household items, stop by and take what you need.

Birdie’s Box is especially in need of donations. Our Church had been receiving some items from the food pantry, but the pantry changed their donation policy with a change in management. Your donations of food and toiletry items are always helpful. Cash donations would be especially appreciated. That way, purchases can be made of items to fill the gaps between other donations.

Canned Food

Note from Debbie Kamark:

Volunteer opportunity…. There is a need for someone to help stock Birdies Box on Saturday and Sunday at your convenience just once a day. I have volunteers for the rest of the week.  Please feel free to send me an email: dkkamark@gmail.com.

The task takes about 5-10 minutes. Place items from the shelves using the sturdy curbside Pic N Save & Aldi’s plastic bag provided on a cart next to the food. The Menards & Festival Food bags are not as sturdy but will do in a pinch if the other bags are not available.  People need bags to carry the food so we want to make sure we provide strong bags.  Here is an updated list of items that we would like to add to our shelves:

Ramen Noodle Soup, Nail Clippers, Gloves, Hand Warmers, Kleenex, Rain Ponchos, Bar Soap, Band-aids, Q tips, Cotton Balls, Hot Chocolate, Crackers, Shampoo, Pudding, Jell-O, Summer Sausage.

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."
