Council President of Our Savior's
Toby has been an active member of Our Saviors since 2016. Toby and his family decided to become church members here because they felt that this congregation is the kindest, warmest, and most welcoming church congregation that they have ever been blessed to be a part of. Toby has enjoyed serving God and his fellow parishioners as a member on the church council since 2017 along with serving on other church ministries.
Council President of Christ Lutheran
Kevin has been a member of Christ Lutheran for 5 years and has been on Council ever since. He has been at Pastor Connie's side through a move and now the consolidation. He loves helping out in any way he can! He has been volunteering since he was 25 years old and is also apart of our Building and Grounds team. He is a purchasing manager by day as well as trying to help the church consolidate by night and move forward as one.
Barb has been a member of Our Savior's for 35+ years. She's been on staff as a Secretary at Christ Lutheran since the fall of 2016. As we move forward together, her area of emphasis will be on preparing for worship services in any way the church needs help. She is always open to helping move our ministry forward in any way she can and loves watching the church grow.
Ron is a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran. His grandparents were married at the church and so were his parents. He has lived in Oshkosh except for the 4 years he was in the Navy, and was a plumber and steamfitter for 17 years after that. For most of his working career he was a gunsmith. He had a lifelong interest in antique rifles and guns. In his term as a Council member, he was on the moving team for both moves.
Ron and his wife Eileen are from Lebanon, Wi. We have 3 children and 11 grandchildren. Ron graduated from Wartburg college and UW Madison with a major in social work and retired from North High school. Ron and Eileen joined Our Savior's in 1974, and have loved being a member of this beloved community.
Jerri Schmidt (Consultant)
Jerri Schmidt works for Diverse Options, Inc. as Vice President of Finance. Her favorite Bible Passage is Matthew 28: 19-20. "Go therefore and make disciple of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Teaching them all that I have command." We are called to use our gifts and talent to serve our Lord and Savior. That is why Jerri has fun playing with numbers. Blessings to all!
When she joined Christ Lutheran she said "oh, the members were very welcoming." What really impressed her was the fact that everyone was willing to help in any way they could, and the church never had a lack of volunteers for church activities. She hopes our combined churches will be the same when we consolidate in the near future.
